Jubilance

I’m a huge black and white fan, so I love this photo in those tones. I caught her in a moment of laughter, which put a natural smile on her face and gives the photo a more relaxing feel. In post-processing, all I did was add a little vignette and brightened up her a face a bit to make it stand out. Then I added the black and white and put a bit of a purple-ish tint in there to make it more unique. The one thing I would change is that I would have moved a little more to the left so that she’d be more on a third of the photo. Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

This is a picture of my two cats that I absolutely adore! I took many pictures of them, but I finally got them in a good shot. Both of the cats are looking out my door because they heard a noise. I changed the color to black and white and kept the cats in color. I like how both cats are in focus.

Ladybug Love

I took this photo for a common object project and my prop was a lady bug that I have in my room. I chose her photo because her jacket matched well with the lady bug. After getting the photo I cropped off some of the sides, burned the background and dodged the subject (person and prop).

Breaking Through

I took this picture while I was in down town Tacoma looking for shapes to create a collage for a project. I was mainly on the search for street signs but then I came across the Glass Museum. The lighting made the blue stand out and after adjusting the levels and curves I found it looked unique. I like this picture because it makes you look twice. It might be a tad bit burned out, but I love it.

Dog Tired

This is my dog Gracie, she’s a bijon-frishe-shitzu mix. She’s about 2 years old, and she’s so much fun. I took this a while ago right before I went to bed. She followed me to my room, stopped in the middle of the hall way & just layed down, it was a camera moment! I really like the way the focus is & how the depth of field looks. I also used rule of thirds to make the subject look even better. She’s such a cutie.
