Wounded Warrior

In this picture if you look closely you can see that this bug is missing a leg and is wounded. I don’t really like bugs all that much but I do like animals and nature. I know what it’s like to have an injured leg, it’s difficult and tiring to do normal things. And I wanted to show that through this picture. It’s a warrior bug because it is just this small little thing living in a world where everything else is bigger, but the bug is strong enough to live through it all even though its injured.

This picture was from the Fences Assignment. It is focused on the wire that is rusted. It’s almost like a mirror image; one is not focused while one is. The light blue sky brings out the dark rusted wire. The feeling of the picture is settling.

A Day In The Shade

During the shot I was in the squat position for nearly five minutes. I blocked the sun with most of my back to get the mysterious shot of what can be behind the fence. I used Photoshop to make it a warm picture to allow for it to be more inviting and also more enjoyable. The fire hydrant brings in the feeling of reality missed with a dark forest behind it where you could get lost.

Spidey

This photo is one of my favorites. My camera was set on Program and I was using Super-macro. I was trying not to scare the spider away, but at the same time I was trying to take it’s picture at different angles. I like how the light is in the background. I adjusted the exposure and highlights to make it brighter in colors. Some people think spiders are scary, but if you take a closer look they are really cool.

Gotta Catch 'Em All

This picture was taken during the toys assignment. I like this one because it reminds me of when I was little I would always watch pokemon when it came on, and spending hours and hours of playing pokemon stadium with my cousin Zach on his N64. When I took this, I drew a pokeball on the side walk and put a pokemon on each side, then in photoshop, I used the spot healing brush and cleaned up all the gum and the cracks.

Falling Up

This shot is a picture of a tree that it’s leaves were dying so the whole tree was yellow except for the trunk. I wanted to do the tree because I thought that a yellow tree would portray  “the fall look”. Before I got to this masterpiece of greatness there was a lot of trial and error. I tried a lot of things like leaves on the ground bushes and the dark sky, but nothing worked as much as my best shot. I am satisfied with my final product obviously because I thought it looked good. In Photoshop I just adjusted the levels a little bit to make it brighter in contrast to exemplify the tree and its yellow dying look.
