I thank my teacher Mr.DeGuiseppi for this picture; because he taught me how to adjust the camera’s setting to take better night pictures. I took this picture with the school camera Canon Powershot and a tripod. I increased the shutter speed to 15” for it to absorb all the lighting and all the little details for the picture. I’m extremely happy with this picture; and I love how the city lights are shining and the car lights are blurred out. I also find the freeway really fascinating to look at, and the curves of the streets. But, I really wish I could have taken panoramic pictures with this view, however the camera didn’t have that scene. Soon or later, I will go back and work with it again.

I love this photo, i like all the colors, they all work well with eachother. I also love how the lights of the cars tunred out, i like how it curved around the corner. Also, the two lights that look like stars are real nice. I am looking forward of seeing more. good job.

This photo is really nice. I like how the picture is slowed down so all the cars are looking like blurs rolling across the screen almost like a train rolling through the night. The picture really demonstrates to me about how fast people live there lives now a days. rush here, rush there type of mentality. The light to the left, reminds me of a star overlooking the night time. Good Job!

Great shutter speed adjustment. This photo truly portrays the hustle and bustle of people on the highway outside the Tacoma Dome. The blurry bright colors of the city and the hazy car head lights is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteJD-ERHS
This is so awesome!I love all the colors from the lights and how the sky is completely black. If you were to flip it upside down the lights from the buildings could almost look like stars and the sky like land. I have a canon powershot and really want to try this now :)

I absolutely love this photo. I always to see cities at night, and this is beautiful. The cars being in motion while the city is still is really interesting to look at. The curve of the road is also really pretty. -- AB SPHS

Excellent picture, I love how the city looks like it is alive. Your picture actually shows movement unlike other photos that only show still or non-moving objects. Nice Work!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is awesome. I love how the city lights pop out and the car lights are blurred. If I didn't live in Tacoma I'd think it was some huge metropolitan city. You make Tacoma look good.

This photo is really nice. Colors stand out very well. Night pictures aren’t that easy to take, but you did an excellent job. Great shutter speed and focus. I like how some of the streets curve and some are straight on.
ReplyDeleteSam-ERHS
This is by far one of the best pictures that I seen on here. It shows what the night life of Tacoma looks like. Its like leading lines to the city. Great job!

ReplyDeleteThis photo has a great lightning and speed adjustments. You did a really good job taking this picture. I also like how the lightning makes it look like there is a bright shining star on top of the Tacoma Dome. Awesome pic! :)

What I like most about this photo is that the city looks still and the freeway has movement on it. The elements of composition that I can see are shutter speed. All in this entire photo I think that this is very unique and different.
ReplyDeleteAW-ERHS
really love this picture. I like that only the lights of the cars show up because of the long shutter speed. The shows almost a ghostliness of cars. I also like how all the lights in the background look like six pointed stars. It kind of looks like all of the stars have fallen out of the sky and into the city, great affect!
ReplyDelete-Nicole ERHS
I love all the lights in this picture. The way you used shutter speed in this is awesome. The fact that it’s not really blurry is really cool too.

This is an awesome photo, Ive always wanted to do this. I love the lights! I also like how its a top view instead of a regular view. -DZ ERHS
ReplyDeleteThis picture is very well taken. The photographer was smart to use a tripod and not try to take a high shutter speed picture while holding the camera. Everything looks very still except for the cars on the road. The mood this picture gives me is a feeling of calm. Everything looks lit up even though it’s dark.
ReplyDeleteThis photo is brilliantly done. The exposure is very nice, and the colors contrast beautifully. I’ve always loved night photos, and this one is my new favorite. I really like how the top of the picture is completely black, which draws me to the bottom half of the picture.
ReplyDelete-MM ERHS
I like how it is dark and how the lines com out more.
ReplyDeleteThis picture uses horizontal and curved lines.
The lighting, exposure and focus is great.
This reflects a good mood

I like this picture because it really shows Tacoma’s true city night awakening. The photographer seems to try to emphasize the cities night traffic and did a fairly well job at it. This picture really seems to put me into an excited full mood making me want to visit Tacoma. This photo is definitely a keeper for sure.

This is picture is BEAUTIFUL! You really take some great pictures. Tacoma is a beatiful city already but you made it look all that better looking at night. I like how the tacoma dome is so focused and how you used the shuttter speed to show the cars going by.

I love how the colors of the lights turned out in this photo! The slow shutter speed method worked brilliantly, definitely give you props (: I think you did a great job. This gives me a really great mood. I love night lights!
ReplyDeleteI like this picture because I’ve always been a fan of Tacoma and how it looks in the night. It’s really good because this picture overlooking the Tacoma dome is lighted very well by just lights below him. I always like how he slowed the shutter speed to make the car lights all one strand. I also like how the lights are like leading lines and make your eyes follow the picture.
ReplyDeleteOverall this picture just attracts your eyes

I like how this was put on shutter speed to make the freeway look really eye catching but then in the back ground is the man point of the Tacoma dome shining.
