Streets

I took this picture for the Streets assignment. I chose this particular photo as my best because it’s cool to see the road from a different point of view. You never really get this close to the street with your face. I like it because you don’t see the end of the road, so you don’t know if it just stops, or keeps going on forever. I also like the crack in the middle on one of the yellow lines; it pretty much MAKES the photo.

  1. The color in this picture is great. The darker the better, it makes the line to stick out more. The crack adds more to the photo. Couldn’t get any better. Great job!

  2. I love the colors in this picture and how “in your face” the road is. The big crack in the line brings more to the photo. Because you made the picture s dark it makes the lines pop even out more.

  3. This photo is actually pretty awesome. At first looking at it I wasn’t quit sure what it was but once I read the description then I saw the road. Like you said I really like the angle of the road and the depth of field that you used. The lighting also looks great, I can tell you took it on a cloudy day. Overall I really really like this picture.

  4. I really like how close to the ground this picture was taken. The crack adds character to the street rather than just having the line. The bumps are very clear and I like how the line goes all the way through the photo without an breaks.

  7. I like how detailed this picture is and the linear correlation effect that it has. The cracks in the road help make this picture. This is really good work.

  8. I like how close to the street this photo was taken, it shows the details and the crack in the street. I also like how you can't see the end of the road because it makes you wonder if it ends or not.

  9. This is really awesome. I like how it gives a new perspective on something that we see everyday. I also like how there are little plants growing out of the cracks in the road. It could sort of symbolize something new coming from the old.

  10. I really like how you can tell it’s the lines on the road but it isn’t obvious. I like how you used lines to attract the attention of the viewer to the picture. I like that it shows the crack in the pavement.

  15. I really like how this picture is led through by the lines on the road.
The crack in the middle of the road really pops as its emphasized by the focus of the camera! I think you did a great job!

  16. Ok first, I think the white balance should be toned down and try to get rid of the glare on the road; however I like how you put the crack in the road in the center of the picture and angled it so the yellow line doesn’t go straight through the middle of the picture. I also like the different textures in it.

  17. This photo is really amazing. I love the focus and the depth of field that you were able to achieve when you took this photo. It really works in this shot, and makes the colors stand out that much more. I also love the fact that there is more than one use of leading lines in this photo. From the line of the crack on the road to the street lines. Finally, I'd like to point out that this is definitly a photo that I would hang on my wall. Great photograph! (:

  18. i really like this picture because its something simple that we see everyday yet with a close up at this angle makes a simple line look interesting like something you dont see everyday. the depth of field looks nice and works well with the picture and i also like how the line leads off the picture.

  19. I love the focus, The road is shiny and has a little bit of a glare. I like how the main focus on the picture is the crack in the road. It is very easy to tell, but the surroundings help the photos.

  20. i really like this picture. The yellow pops out even more because of the background. I think it would of looked even better if it was more in focus though. Great picture:)

  23. I think your picture displays a strong shallow depth of field. I like how the leading lines go down the street, but the crack in the painted yellow line also grabs my attention. I would definetly enjoy this pictue as my background on my cell phone.

  25. I really love the shallow depth of field in this photo. The crack through the yellow line really draws you in, and it is taken in a view that makes it really interesting. The darkeness of the colors really makes the picture work, especially since it gets lighter as you go down the road, nice job!
