Remarkable Rainbow

I really like this photo. I took it during the light painting project. It’s funny, because I had taken at least 50 photos before where I tried to do something cool and they never turned out right, but for this shot I just took a flashlight and waved it around all lazily for this shot and it ended up being my favorite. I think it’s my favorite because it’s so simple. It’s just a white light being waved around and it’s in crystal clear focus. I was putting it through Photoshop to crop it and erase people’s faces that showed up in the photo when I got the amazing idea to put a color layer over it and make it a rainbow! It was so genius, I was proud of myself for coming up with it and it turned out really pretty. Overall I think this picture is amazing.

Vroom Vroom

This photo was taken during the Toys assignment I chose this as my best photo because I was able to make the car look real, setting my camera setting to Macro. Also what worked there were straight lines carved into the concrete so when I placed the car in the same direction as the lines it compositionally used leading lines, also with that it made the car look like it was driving straight. The depth of field really makes the photo more realistic because how it focus on the back bumper of the car then  where the hood it begins to lose focus, it made the car look bigger.

Twirling

I chose this for a blog post because it was from our most recent project the painterly project and I felt like this was the best project I have had.  I felt like I excelled at this. I like this picture because I took it from just a natural beauty at Franklin Pierce. I waited for the flowers to bloom around a tree and as I saw them fall off I took a picture of the area around and it turn into a twirling flower picture.

Nikon

I like this picture because it is in focus and you can see me reflected in the lens.  Good depth of field too.

At Bat

I love this picture, because it was of my brother. I love the depth of field and, the color. I had my camera at my brother's baseball game and I was trying to apply what Mr. D has taught me. So I was playing around with aperture and iso and shutter speed and I came out with this.

This photo is probably my favorite out of the whole year.  The colors are amazing and I feel like there could be any story in the world behind it. Being able to put your own story to a photo always makes it more interesting to look at; it draws you in and makes you think.  The only thing about this photo that I think I would change is the power lines across the top; I really might not even change that though because it brings a sense of reality to the photo, making it more life- like.

Faster than Lightning

I took this photo during the panning assignment I went outside by the school and went on the sidewalk with a friend and took it. It turned out to be really cool so I decided to use it for the blog post. It took me awhile to get this nice shot but eventually it worked out for me as you can see. It was a lot of fun working with the camera and I could see myself taking these kinds of pics all the time.
