Erased

I took this photo of my cousin Bailey. It was just a random photo shoot we did at around 11pm the Saturday before Valentine’s Day. We were bored. So I decided to take some photos. I really like this picture because it’s pretty basic. Not much done to it, although I did tweak the lighting a bit, it was a little bit darker and I adjusted the contrast as well. I used Photoshop for this and I erased part of the background to make it look a little bit cooler and not so bland.  I worked on the lighting. I had three lamps. One on either side of her, and one in front, so I could get light from all angles. I like the color. I like the areas where I erased it; it gives the picture some nice lines.

Dallas

I really like this picture because it reminds me of something you’d see in a magazine. I like how the break in the fence where Dallas (horse) chewed away the wood makes for a good, almost framing technique. I’m very happy with the detail, how you can see every speck of mud in his fur. I wish he had brighter eyes to focus on and draw the eye to. I did not use Photoshop on this photo.

When I was taking this picture I was taking a lot of pictures of fences  hoping I would get one I’d like. This one captured what I was trying to get -  the bright color of the fence and the blue sky. I was trying different settings and angles.  This is the one I liked the best.

T-Town

I took this picture while I was in downtown Tacoma. I did not have a tripod so I handheld the camera for approximately 8 sec and this is how it turned out. This is straight out of the camera.
