Hold On!

I took this picture for my sophomore year CBA. It’s an overall good picture, though I do wish I could of gotten the top of the soldiers head a bit more in focus. I was using my old point and shoot camera at the time on default settings so the picture is nowhere near what I wanted it to be, but I’ll take what I can get.

  1. I really like this picture because of the depth of field. Also I like how it is in rule of thirds. Matthew-FPHS

  2. I like the creativity in this photo. The bottom action figure reminds me of the guy off of Temple Run lol. The characters are in focus so that makes it all the better.

  3. i like this picture because the quality is very good, also the concept is very exciting it looks like the soldier in brown is about to fall and the soldier in blue is going to save him. It makes the photo more dramatic and the lighting and everything is good.

  4. I like that it’s a little unusual in the fact that its not a studio shot and its something other than an organic being. Good lines. The focus is sharp and the depth of field really works for this photo.

  5. This is a really interesting picture, I like how it tells a story. Also the depth of field and focus on the guy falling is really nice. I like how you arranged the toys to actually look “real.” This is a nice shot.

  7. I like the depth of field because it makes it look higher than it really is, which adds another element to it. I think it is too bright and the picture is too green. I don’t really like it because of that, maybe taking a couple more pictures would have gotten rid of it, or some better editing.

  8. I love how this story tells a photo and looks extremely realistic. The colors enhance the photo as well as the depth of field. I love how the subjects are hanging, creating visual appeal.

  9. Technical: Depth of field – The depth of field in this image is really deep in the background as you can’t make out what’s exactly on the ground. While the action figures are very well in focus.
Composition: Leading Lines- The tree branches lead your eyes to the action figures as the main focus of the picture.
Aesthetic: Story – This image could very well be a story as two friends that decided to go climb a tree, and one happened to nearly fall so the friend is helping the other one up.
