Holy Pine

For this photo, What I originally did was I saw a twig on the bench out front in the school. Then I saw the light, and I said ”oh yeah, time to get the twig of light.” I got the picture the first time. I didn’t think this was going be a good picture because it took a fraction of a second to take it, but it was. So what I did in Photoshop was I used “auto” on all three things (color),(tone),(contrast), then checked what was bad and fixed it. Overall I think this was a great picture.

  2. This photo is really appealing. The sun streak is blurred, and I really enjoy that in this picture. I also like how the pine is randomly on the cement. The green stands out against the ground in this photo.

  4. This photo caught my eye because of the depth of field and the amazing focus on the droplet. The lighting happens to be just right for this particular photo as well.

  6. I like the way the pine needles look and I like how they are really green. The green makes the picture stand out. I also like the angle, and the shadow of the picture.

  7. I know firsthand how difficult it is to focus on an object on the floor, but you did a nice job. I like the balance, it is oriented more towards the lighter spectrum. A bright photograph represents a lighter disposition, which is what I believe to be the photographer’s mood.

  8. This picture is great. The subject is in focus and the exposure and colors are all balanced out so as to not take away from the subject. The angle of the light and the shadow from the tree limb really brings out the emotion of the picture. Very good altogether.

  9. I like this picture a lot. I like the shadow of the pine. If anything I would make the depth of field more on the pines and make it more centered.

  10. I really liked the focus that was on the leaf and the how the sun shone on it quite nicely. I also liked that the photo was centered and I really liked the balance. This photo made me happy so I think this is a keeper.

  11. I really like this photo because of the isolation, it’s just the cement and the plant, nothing else to distract you.

  12. I really like this whole photo. In my opinion, everything about it works. The color of the pines really stand out and draws your eyes directly to the twig which is the main focus of the picture. I love the lighting, and I think it adds to the photo because it makes a shadow of the twig.

  13. This is a really good picture. There is shadow and lots of light. Color is very good! You could have been a little less centered. Depth of field is good! Good job!
