Chicago

I was randomly taking pictures for one of the assignments we had, and I really liked how this picture turned out. The focus on the “Chicago” spoon is really clear, and the depth of field just adds to the photo. I edited it by turning it black and white then only bringing color back into the spoons, the wall was a burnt orange color and really took away from the image. Overall I’m happy with the way this picture turned out.

  1. I really like the contrast of colors in this photo, and how it shows all of the details of the main subject. The angle makes the photo interesting also. It's quite lovely to look at.

  2. This photo is really cool, I love the way that only certain spoons are in color. The use of changing the photo to black and white gives it an affect that is pleasing to the eye. Also using close up allows the detail of the subject to make it pop out of the photo.

  3. I like how in focus the “Chicago” sign is, you can easily make out the details. I like the colors because it is sort of dark which brings out the lightness in the sign. I like the photo because it reminds me of the old days in Chicago due to the building.

  4. I love that the main focus in on the Chicago and that the rest is out of focus. Love the rule of thirds and the and that there is only color in a couple of spots, this makes it pop out. My mom loves spoons, so I could see myself getting this for her. Also it tells a story, by showing the different kinds and places of the spoon.

  5. I love this photo because the focus is purly on Chicago, and it stands out even though it is still in black and white. The random bursts of color make the photo visually appealing.

  6. I like how some of the picture is black and white and some is not. The focus is very good and the lighting reflecting off the objects gives a really good feel to the photo. Chicago is right on the rule of thirds line and my eyes go right to it. And when I think of this I think of money and fame and fortune.

  7. I love the focus on the picture, with the Chicago spoon making the eye attract right to it. The randomness of the color is a good offset to the black and white lighting of the photo.

  10. I really like how in focus the Chicago is, compared to the rest of the souvenirs. I really enjoy souvenirs and these are very nice. I like how the colors are mostly black and white and greys but there are little bursts of colors from some of the knickknacks. There are a little too many black areas, but I think that all around adds to the vintage aura of the image. I like this picture a lot, and would probably use it as the background on my laptop.
