Washington Beaches

I took this picture at Long Beach, Wa. I didn’t do anything special, and was using a point and shoot camera. In Photoshop I did some minor adjustments. I like this photo because it captures the beautiful colors of the sunset as well as the vast expanse of the sea/beach.  I love the glow that the sun creates.

dog de Bordeaux

This was a picture that I took of my dog Denali, She is a French Mastiff-or to be technical she’s a; dog de Bordeaux-  So one day at my dad’s house she was lying out on the black porch and just laid the camera down –I didn’t look through the lenses- and I just took the picture. This was my best shot and I loved how it turned out.

Spring

This was a spring photo that I took at my house. At first I didn’t notice the bunny in the background, but then I realized that I could use it to enhance the spring theme even more, since this was right before Easter. I like that it is depth of field but that you can still tell exactly what it is. The pink flowers are really pretty, and I love the droplets of water that are about to fall. I’m very happy with this shot.

This picture I took around mid May. I tried to get really low on the ground, and managed to do so, but it hurt.  I also tried to get the sun in the corner of the screen sort of like rule of thirds, but the main part isn’t in the corner. I used the smoke brush in Photoshop obviously, and emphasized the suns brightness. It really did turn out nice.

Life Savers

This photo was from our last assignment which was our choice of a theme. My theme was Candy. At first  my pictures were blurry. I ended up taking different pictures and angles of candy, and the candy boxes I had. I turned in this picture as my best shot because I like the depth of field and the focus.  I also like the different colors of the photo. One thing I don’t like about this picture is kind of how the last letters of “Savers” kind of burned out from light. Other than that I like this picture.

Spring

This picture was from a Spring assignment. I went towards the front of school to the big blossom tree (whatever you call it) to take pictures of the blossoms, & this picture was the best one I took out of the whole assignment. I used a watercolor feature on photoshop. I like the depth of field. The flower looks really good & I’m pleased with this picture.
