I snapped this shot during the national anthem at a girl’s football game. I looked over during the last verse of the song, and saw both the captains standing by each other holding hands as such. The emotion of the two leaders standing united right before the big game started was so great, I had to get the picture. It bothers me that I cut off their feet right at the ankles, and I wish I had been standing just a bit farther away so that there was a bit more space on the left side for them to be looking out into. Otherwise, I love the simplicity of the photo - especially in black and white - and the emotion it conveys.

ReplyDeleteI like the emotional connection I feel when I look at this. They look like they really care and are about to give 100% out on the field. The fact that it’s a girl’s football game is really impressive. I didn’t know we still had girl’s football nowadays. I’m glad you got to capture the moment. The aperture being used makes it look more sentimental. Same with the black and white effect, it brings out the power and emotion. Like you said, I wish you had shown what they’re looking at or gotten a full body shot of them. But it is still really good.

I like this picture because, you can see the emotion. And I like how they made the picture black and white to change the picture a little bit. But I think it would be good if they wouldn’t of cropped it as much, and had more space shown in the front of the picture. and it would have leading lines to make the photo better.

I really do like this picture also. It has amazing focus on them not something else making you look at it,but directly at Nana and Missy. I can feel the emotion vibrating off them picture. The black and white makes it look alot better than it could or would have been with color. I agree with the feet, but than I dont because it would have made them smaller and peole may have had a harder time focusing on the main point-them.Not their feet or the ground as much.

The exposure and lighting of this picture is awesome. I like how you changed the picture to black and white, it added a classic-like touch to the photo. The fact that you captured the two girls holding hands adds alot of intensity and personal feel. This picture can clearly tell a story. Great job.
