I really like this picture because baseball happens to be my favorite sport. This pic was taken in the spring during baseball season and I really like that my main focus on the picture was only on the back corner of the plate with the little dirt that was spread on top of the plate. Then I like how the rest of the dirt in the background is out of focus creating a good depth of field with the dirt in the front!

I love the simplicity of this picture. The filter you used on the photo gives it a very particular feel. The dirt on the front of the plate gives it some character and adds to what could be a boring photo.

This picture really touches me because I also love fast pitch! Something that I think would make this picture better would be to come at a different angle and get the outfield in the background with a nice depth of field with that. That would make the picture even more eye catching, but I LOVE the baseball idea.

I like this photo a lot because I have played baseball for years. And the brownish hue added to this photo captures the aura that I get while in an intense game. This really makes me want to get out on the field.

Good photo! The front of the plate is in focus and the detail in the dirt is amazing. Since the only subject is the plate, maybe a smaller f-stop would have been useful so that it would all be in focus. This photo is almost symmetric which is how I would shoot home plate as well. Personally I would not put this photo in my home because it is a little boring, but that doesn’t mean others won’t find it interesting. It’s a good photo.
