Duck

During Spring I went to New York and I took this picture in Central Park. I was taking pictures of flowers when I saw the duck getting into the water.  It was during the sunset so the light hit the duck almost horizontally. I like how the picture turned out especially because of the light and the contrast in the picture.

  1. I like how the whole subject is in focus which would be pretty difficult seeing how wide the subject is. Also I like how one half of the background is bright while the other half is dark. I like this photo because of how the whole duck is focused. joe h-fphs

  2. I like that the duck is in focus and that you have the water out of focus. I’m not sure if that’s just the water or if that was meant to be depth of field. I love the color of the duck; you don’t see that kind of duck often. I don’t really like that the light on the water is so bright, but you can’t really control that. All in all, I like this picture because of the color of the duck and that it is around darker colors besides the bright light

  3. First off I like that you can get so close to the duck without it running away. And the depth of the background is really nice. The color contrast of the duck and the dirt and water is good!

  4. I really like this picture because the colors from the duck and the background don’t blend. You did a great job on the depth of field.

  5. This is a really nice picture, how close you got to the duck and how in focus it is. The duck looks like its almost posing for the shot. I like the water in the background, with the reflections. Very nice.

  6. The focus Is great and the duck has very interesting colors to it. I like this picture because the backdrop allows for all of your focus to be drawn to the subject. Great work.

  7. This is a really good picture because of how focused the duck is. And also the fact that the duck did not fly away good job

  9. I love this photo, the duck is in good focus, and the orange pops out a lot. This photo has a smooth feeling to it, I feel like I just want to pet the duck because of the way you made it look. Continue to get more great photos!

  11. The focus in this picture is really good and shows the duck and its feather in good detail. I also like the color of the duck it’s not a normal color that you see of a duck. This picture makes me feel very peaceful. Scott M FPHS

  12. I really like this picture. I like the contrast in it and the color of the duck. I like how the depth of field worked out really well for this picture so the main object pops out even more. I love it, Great Job!

  13. I like how close this photo was taken up sloe so that you could see the duck, its face, and it feathers. Although, I felt like it could have been taken a different angle to where you can capture the duck sitting on the water, and to where you could have depth of field. The lighting is clear, Yet I feel like this photo could have been edited to where it looks a little brighter. Also, it could have been cool if the ducks reflection reflected off the water. But I like the photo!

  15. The fact that you let the duck only be one third into the picture and the other half water made the picture even more beautiful. The duck's color against the water makes it stand out more also.

  16. This is an awesome photo. The duck is perfectly in focus while the water is blurry. Your color is great! Rules of thirds are done well! Very good job!

  17. The duck is in focus, and the water isn’t. It’s a very soft focus, you wouldn’t notice it unless you were really looking. The duck is really cute I love it. The colors are very soft, and use mostly earth tones like brown and green and it creates a very calm image. I feel very calm when I look at this photo, this photo makes me happy to see such a cute duck, with it’s nice brown feathers.
