Dazzling Lights

This picture was taken in Disneyland a few weeks ago. I had to take a picture of the classic tea cups and this photo is taken when it was dark. I like the contrast and how the colors smear; it kind of looks like light painting but not quite. I didn’t edit it at all because I like how it is. Overall I’m happy with it.

This is Real Drifting

This photo was taken at the race track in Kent, Wa. To explain this photo more thoroughly, Drifting refers to a driving technique and to a motorsport where the driver intentionally over steers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining vehicle control and a high exit speed. This photo I shot is a picture of a Nissan Skyline GT-R; this car was sliding sideways through the track going up to 70-80 MPH the whole time! This photo really brings me in, because this car is a illegal car anywhere on the streets in the U.S (known as the SUPER CAR), and most of all it wasn’t just going straight, the car was going completely sideways. I must admit, doing what I love, taking pictures of what I love was that best part of this photo actually.  The photo’s aperture was F13, shutter speed was 1/80, ISO was 800, and the white balance was on SHADE. I also bumped up the contrast on the edges of the car to make it sharp, and also bumped up the sharpness of the car.

Long Way to Go

I took this photo around the beginning of October with my friend Priscilla. I took a lot of photos of her on the train tracks and this came out as my favorite. I made it black and white and added a fate tint. I like how I used rule of thirds and not put her directly in the middle of the photo. Overall I am really happy with this photo.

Streets

I took this picture for the Streets assignment. I chose this particular photo as my best because it’s cool to see the road from a different point of view. You never really get this close to the street with your face. I like it because you don’t see the end of the road, so you don’t know if it just stops, or keeps going on forever. I also like the crack in the middle on one of the yellow lines; it pretty much MAKES the photo.

Pumpkins!!

I was driving home from my sister’s house and drove pass this huge pumpkin patch here in Tacoma so I pulled over to the side of the rode and took a few pictures! I really like how the picture is in rule of thirds and that there are lots of horizontal lines. I fixed the levels to make more contrast.

Erasers

I took this photo for a back to school theme.  I dumped out erasers on my bed and tried many different shots and camera settings but this photo is what I ended up with after cropping and applying a photo filter. I cropped the photo so no one can see my bed and it looks better than the original.

Gangstarr Baby

This photo was taken at the Puyallup Fair. I was eating an elephant ear with my girlfriend, and I looked straight ahead and I saw a baby who was looking furiously at his mother.  I figured it would be an interesting picture.  I edited the exposure, the sharpness, the color temperature, and I added the shades on the top and the bottom. The baby is just adorable in this photo even while he’s looking furious. Overall I’m really happy with this photo :D .
