Starry Day

This picture I took was when I was on a trip in Leeds, Alabama. The camera was set up on a tripod and taken at 11:30 at night. I like this picture because it looks like its day time but you can see all the stars at the same time. The way I did this is I changed the ISO high and adjusted the shutter speed and aperture.  I am proud of this picture. I also opened it in Photoshop and adjusted the levels. I didn’t do anything else to the photo.

I love looking deeper into this photo and seeing the unexpected sparkling stars. It is an interesting photo but it might be better with a less distracting horizon.

  2. There is a very good rule of thirds showing. It shows that there is 2/3rd of the sky and 1/3rd land. The land has multiple colors and not just a single color. I like how it is still able for people to see that there is objects on ground and not just trees and grass. You can see cars and campers.

  3. The adjustments you made are very good for the lighting. I couldn’t even tell that it was night until I read your description. The fact I can still see the stars is very nice. I just like the way the picture looks in general. Good job.

  4. Great Picture! I really think it looks like daytime. The way you changed the camera settings to take in more light is really cool. The rule of thirds is good too. I like the color of the grass. It contrasts the sky pretty well. I like the motor homes too. Good job Dylan.

  6. This photos really interesting, at first it just seems like a simple image during the day. But after reading the description its really cool how it’s actually night time and you can see all the stars in the sky. I really like the way he edited this picture.

  7. It is hard to focus on the stars due to the buildings and trees, they draw attention. It would be advisable to raise the contrast to make the stars ‘pop’. If I were to sum it up in one word, it is hope. It’s faint and rare, but when it happens, its captivating.
