I took this picture for our Depth of Field assignment. I love this picture because there is such great focus on my subjects face and the background is completely blurred. I like how natural the picture is - the hair blowing in her face and the small smile just enough to see her dimple. This is one of my favorite shots of her out of the numerous ones I took.

Dreamy Sunset

I took this picture during the weekend when I was visiting friends in eastern Washington. My friends and I had decided to go on a walk and my friend had brought her camera along with her. The sun was setting as we were walking along a bridge and I saw this as an opportunity to capture the beautiful sunset, so I asked my friend to borrow her camera for a second. The colors had really popped out to me, I took a couple shots before I got this one and I was amazed at how nicely it came out since I have always had trouble capturing sunsets. I really love the contrast of the colors in this photo; it gives off a cool/dreamy vibe to me.

Look Again

I was really excited about this photo when I took it. My friend went inside her camper and was peeking through the curtains and when I took the photo I didn’t even think about my reflection in the window. I knew this picture could look really cool with some editing so I took out the color and messed around with the levels until I got this creepy eerie feel to it. I love that you see both her face and my reflection, you just have to look again. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

FPHS!

This was my best shot for my panorama project. One of my best pictures I think. I love how everything just flows perfect and how every shot worked. This picture really shows some beauty of our school that most people don’t see. This picture I think is one of a kind.

Duck

During Spring I went to New York and I took this picture in Central Park. I was taking pictures of flowers when I saw the duck getting into the water.  It was during the sunset so the light hit the duck almost horizontally. I like how the picture turned out especially because of the light and the contrast in the picture.

Don't Try This At Home

These pictures were originally from a games assignment. I picked these images because it tells a story. It shows the steps I took in to getting a good photo. I like how I used a blue board to contrast with the blue of the flame. In the first image the front domino could have been more in focus but overall I love this picture.

Cookie!

This picture was from the food photography assignment. I believe this was the second or third picture I took. I like the focus on the cookies and how there is a little depth of field in the foreground. I added a gradient to the picture that made the colors match more which turned out to look pretty good. I don’t think that my mom liked the crumbs on the table but overall I think this picture turned out good.
