I Love You

I took this picture this year; I was texting my best friend and I was playing around with a camera trying different angles and settings, when I tried this photo. I really like the angle and how clear it is. I wish I didn’t get such a glare and the lines that you can see when you take a photo of a computer screen.  I turned the photo black and white and brought up the lighting a tiny bit.

I took this photo for an assignment called “fences”. I found this spot and took pictures from different angles and zooms, I chose this picture because I liked how it had the lock and still a small part of fence and you can see the stuff behind it. I wish the background was a little more out of focus. I adjusted  the levels in Photoshop to make it a little more vibrant.

Ode to Pheelicia

I really liked working with this photo. I took into account my love of my chucks, or in laymen’s, converse (which are going to be retired after a long 6 years after I get married… so by that point, perhaps 10 years) my love of art, and grunge/dark/graphic photography. I wanted it to be a little fuzzy but all in all it was pretty clear. I increased the contrast to really bring out certain aspects that influence me every day and keep me going. The cord of my headphones, my shoes, my sketches, all of it seems to make its way into my day-to-day. This photo was for the “Back to School” Assignment in Adv. Photo.

I thank my teacher Mr.DeGuiseppi for this picture; because he taught me how to adjust the camera’s setting to take better night pictures. I took this picture with the school camera Canon Powershot    and a tripod.  I increased the shutter speed to 15” for it to absorb all the lighting and all the little details for the picture. I’m extremely happy with this picture; and I love how the city lights are shining and the car lights are blurred out.  I also find the freeway really fascinating to look at, and the curves of the streets. But, I really wish I could have taken panoramic pictures with this view, however the camera didn’t have that scene. Soon or later, I will go back and work with it again.

Extreme Jumper

I took this photo in sophomore year, while doing a Freeze Action assignment. My friend decided to jump the stairs so I got my camera ready and set it at a high shutter speed. I put the photo in black and white, than brought back the color of his jacket and shoes. I like this photo, except I wish I could have gotten a better angle.                   Payton G. -FPHS
I took this photo on my way home around 8:30. I saw it and it looked extremely good. I didn’t have my camera on me, so I used the camera on my iPhone. As the car was moving it blurred out the trees and mainly focused on the sunset. In Washington, it is rare to see a sunset. The tree’s split and it really captures the main subject.      Cameron H. -FPHS

Wet Rock

I like the colors of this photo. I was trying to capture the textures and the overall appeal. I took this while I was waiting for the ferry to Lopez Island. I went on a nature walk and I really enjoy close ups, so taking this was a lot of fun for me.                   Ashman D. -FPHS

Dancing E's

I created this photo during my sophomore year in Mr. Deguiseppi’s class. We were doing an assignment on light. This was created with Christmas lights. Mr. Deguiseppi waved the lights and I took several shots and found that this image was the best one. I darkened the background for more focus on the lights. I name this photo  ”Dancing E’s” because it seems like the E’s in the photos are dancing.                  Erika Y--FPHS

Self-Portrait

I took this picture for a self portrait assignment. I don’t quite fit in the frame because instead of a tripod I used a traffic cone but it turned out to be one of my best shots. I adjusted the color balance on my shirt to give it a bit of a pop but all of my hair made it hard so the Photoshop job isn’t perfect.
