Blinded By the Light

This photo happened kind of on accident. I was trying to take fence pictures for a project and I wasn’t really focused. But I saw this cool angle and took the picture. I enjoy how the light accents the fence. It’s almost as if the sun rays are the leading lines of the picture. I wish those glare spots weren’t there, but I still like it.

Memories

For this photo, I decided to take the picture up close to try to enhance the “Cadillac” symbol on the back of the car. I love the way it came out because it shows great depth of field and you can see the reflection of the trees in the car. It was taken during the fall so the color of the car is great for the theme of the month. What I love about this as well is if you look closely, the car has a different license plate it’s out of state and I grew up in that car when I was a little girl. So it really brings back memories and that’s why I chose my grandmother’s car.

The Matrix

As the day was coming to an end, the sun came out during a foggy cloudy day. I noticed the reflection off of my friend’s Toyota and the shadows cast upon his car. What I did was set my camera to a high shutter  speed. But I didn’t I realize that I had a high iso and it turned out really good. What I did to the picture was I added a vignette to add more affect into the picture. Also, I used a photo filter in order to get that warm feeling of the Matrix.

Red Hoodie

This picture was taken at a lake. We were doing a depth of field project. And this was one of my best shots. I turned the background gray because the colors in the background were really green so it looked like Christmas. In the back ground is a lake and I like the reflection in the back.

Starry Day

This picture I took was when I was on a trip in Leeds, Alabama. The camera was set up on a tripod and taken at 11:30 at night. I like this picture because it looks like its day time but you can see all the stars at the same time. The way I did this is I changed the ISO high and adjusted the shutter speed and aperture.  I am proud of this picture. I also opened it in Photoshop and adjusted the levels. I didn’t do anything else to the photo.

My Dog Bear

I took this photo for a portrait assignment. It was early in the morning before school, and I decided to go outside and take photos of my dog, Bear. He was really hard to control, since he would jump everywhere. However in the end I think I got a good photo. I love how his eye is in focus and you can see the brown in his eye.  I tried to capture half of his body, which I think I did well and the coloring and lighting, I think it worked really well for this photo.

Can't You Sea

I took the picture of the ocean with the sunset while on vacation in Anacortes with my family. I took the picture of my eye while sitting in the car. I was experimenting with merging pictures and I tried to put the picture of my eye over the ocean. Of course I used Photoshop to make this picture work.  I changed the opacity levels until it seemed right.  Sometimes everything just works.
